| This is Wahl-Eversharp's largest pen in considerably above average color Black and Pearl celluloid. The pen has the tiniest amount of brassing on one of the cap bands and lever. This man-size pen is the largest pen made by this manufacturer. The Greek Key cap band is a classic and desirable design. | Wahl's coral celluloid is one of the most handsome colors, with no discoloration whatsoever. The pen has no brassing on the cap bands, clip, or lever. There are a few very minor marks on the section where it joins the barrel. The nib has nice flexibility and will make a great writer. This is the largest Wahl-Eversharp made in this terrific color. A sweet pen, indeed.

EVERSHARP SKYLINE EXECUTIVE ca. 1942
Model:
| Eversharp Skyline Executive Black with Gray Striped cap ca. 1942
| | Grade: | Excellent to Excellent + | Nib Width:
| Smooth Stub, marked "Eversharp Made in U.S.A."
| Length Capped:
| 5 5/8"
| Comments:
| This is the first Skyline Executive I have found in over 15 years of collecting vintage fountain pens. It is understood that for every ten Parker Vacumatic Maximas, one might find just one Skyline Executive. Based on this find, I would suggest this is a fairly true statement. Clearly, these are scarce pens. The pen has a large nib, larger than the standard Skyline and all dimensions are larger: length, cap width, etc. The pen shows no brassing and little signs of use. An excellent example of a very hard to find to find pen and should make a Skyline collector very happy. Note: the picture compares a standard Skyline to the Executive-only the Executive is for sale at this time. | Price:

EVERSHARP SKYLINE 14K SOLID GOLD "COMMAND PERFORMANCE" ca. 1942
Model:
| Eversharp 14K solid gold "Command Performance" Skyline ca. 1942
| | Grade: | Excellent to Excellent + | Nib Width:
| Smooth Fine/Medium flexible, marked "Eversharp 14k Made in U.S.A."
| Length Capped:
| 5 3/8"
| Comments:
| During WWII, many materials used to manufacture fountain pens were listed as "strategic materials" for the War effort. However, Gold was not among these materials. People had considerable amounts of money to spend stemming from the War Economy, and Eversharp capitalized on this by selling a considerable number of solid gold Skylines. The pen originally retailed for $50 in the 1940's. While these pens are not scarce, they are hard to find in good condition. Most have dents, engravings, or the inner caps have shrunk, making it difficult to open and close the pen. This pen does not have any of these flaws. No dents, no dings, no scratches, and it opens and closes easily. The only flaw is a small piece of the gold plate has come off of the clip ring next to the clip and is shown in the picture. This is a terrific example of a very handsome pen.

Barrel and cap show very little signs of wear. The tiniest amount of brassing on the lever--none elsewhere. The Moires with Gold Filled Derbies are far scarcer than those with celluloid derbies.
