CONKLIN CRESCENT FILLER ART NOUVEAU GOLD FILLED FILIGREE ca. 1915

Model:
Conklin Crescent Filler with Art Nouveau Gold Filigree Overlay
Grade:
Excellent +
Nib Width:
Smooth Fine Marked "Conklin 2 Toledo"
Length Capped:
5 1/2"
Comments:
A sensational Crescent Filler with a wonderful art nouveau filigree, which is one of the scarcer Conklin filigree designs.  The gold filled filigree shows no brassing, at first I thought it was solid gold.  There is just a touch of brassing on the clip ends.  There are no dings or dents in the filigree.  There is just the slightest amount of oxidation, nothing very noticeable at all.  No engraving in the cap cartouche.  The back end of the barrel is marked "2".  While I have had several Conklin Crescent Filler filigrees in the past, this is the first one in this pattern I have come across.  It will make a great addition to a Conklin collection

CONKLIN CRESCENT FILLER 30 ca. 1915

Model:

Conklin Crescent Filler 30 ca. 1915
Grade:
Near Mint
Nib Width:
Smooth Medium flex, marked "Conklin 3 Toledo."
Length Capped:
5 5/16"
Comments:
ThisConklin Crescent Filler looks like it just came out of the factory.  There is no trace of oxidation or brassing and the chaising is sharp.  Since it probably was inked, we cannot call it "Mint."  The imprints are deep and molton, showing no signs of wear.  The gold filled band is artfully designed with an engraved name "Fred."  This is an exceptional example of an iconic pen.

$225

CONKLIN SENIOR ENDURA VERD ca. 1927

Model:
Conklin Senior Endura in hard to find Verd Green ca. 1927
Grade:
Excellent +
Nib Width:
Smooth Fine marked "Conklin Endura"
Length Capped:
5 5/16"
Comments:
Conklin made Enduras in two shades of green celluloid, a light green and a much darker and vibrant green called Verd.  Verd is much scarcer than the other green, and to our mind, much nicer.  This is a great example of a Verd Sr. Endura, with no brassing, and a strong imprint.  Verde Sr. Enduras are perhaps the least common of the Enduras.  The nib has a few scratches on it, but they do not affect its writing ability.  A desirable pen.

$525 SOLD

Excellent to Excellent +
Nib Width:
Smooth Fine-Medium Marked "Conklin Endura"
Length Capped:

Comments:
A very nice example of a classic pen.  Just the smallest amount of brassing on the cap band and clip end (less than 5%).  Retains its original annular ring color.  Light but readable imprint.
Price:
Was $350 NOW $325 FURTHER REDUCED TO $275 SOLD

CONKLIN SENIOR ENDURA RED CELLULOID ca. 1927

Model:
Conklin Senior Endura Red Celluloid ca. 1927
Grade:
Excellent
Nib Width:
Smooth Fine Marked "Conklin Endura"
Length Capped:
5 3/8"
Comments:
One of the harder to find colors in the Endura line.  Features a red hard rubber section (which has a couple of tiny marks on it, preventing the pen to be rated "Excellent +").  The imprint is sharp.  The pen shows a minor amount of brassing on the ends of the clip, typical of Conklin clips.  There is no brassing elsewhere, no other flaws on this impressive pen.  The annular rings have been restored to their original color.  There is a name engraved on the barrel, "G. E. Myers."  This will make a great addition to a Conklin collection and will be an impressive writer if so desired.
Price:
$295 SOLD

CONKLIN NOZAC "V-LINE" ca. 1932-36

Model:
Conklin V-Line standard size Nozac in gray celluloid
Grade:
Excellent +
Nib Width:
 Fine/XFine Marked "Conklin Cushon Point 14K U.S.A."
Length Capped:
5 1/4" Standard size
Comments:
The Conklin Nozac was one of the first piston fill pens and this is an outstanding example.  No brassing on the nickel chrome trim and excellent transparency as shown in the picture.  One extremely tiny pin head mark on the top of the cap prevents this from being rated "Near Mint."   Excellent imprint, "The Conklin Pen Co. Toledo Ohio USA Reg. U.S. Pat. Off."  Mechanism works as intended and is guaranteed to suck ink properly for a year from purchase.
Price:
$375
